OUR
MINISTRIES
Our ministries are constantly growing and evolving to help meet the needs around us. In addition to the ministries officially part of Compass, we also work with a number of organizations locally and often partner with them to provide opportunities for service, including My Life Clinic, Love Columbia, City of Refuge, Loaves & Fishes, and GriefShare.
We support a number of missionaries, locally and abroad, as we seek to support the advancement of God's Kingdom to people all over the world. If you would like to learn more about our missionary partners, you can email the church office and they can connect you to someone from our Missions team.
Children's Ministry
Compass loves kids…and their families! We have both Sunday School and Children's Church for kids aged 0-5th grade on Sunday mornings. We desire to provide age-appropriate learning environments that teach the gospel in the context of loving and joy-filled relationships so children can begin to lay a foundation for union with Christ.
Youth & Young Adults
We are passionate about seeing teenagers and young people come to know and love Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Through programs, relationships, retreats, and trips we work with the whole church to create a network that supports our teens as they mature in their walk with Christ.
Adult
Sunday School
Our 9:30 AM Sunday School time allows us to gather before the worship service to dive into a topic that brings us closer to Jesus and to each other. Taught by gifted teachers of the Bible and Christian living principles, we welcome adults of all ages for this more intimate time of learning, exploring, and discussing before we worship together each Sunday morning.
Women's Ministry
Women In the Word is a weekly gathering of women who have a desire to study God’s Word and build relationships with one another. The next studies will begin in Fall 2025 with a midweek morning option and an evening option, each studying something different. We also have events throughout the year as a way to gather together, grow in our faith, and encourage one another.
Men's MINISTRY
Men Building Men desires to see men come to know Christ in a very personal way. Our goal is to connect men to others following Christ and grow together. Life is challenging and all but impossible without the help of the Holy Spirit. We explore the why and how of living a life glorifying to God through an intentional journey of transformation.
prayer
ministry
We believe prayer is a vital part of a real relationship with God. Praying for one another softens our hearts and helps us carry one another’s burdens. Our Prayer Team is committed to praying for the needs of our Church family and leaders. You are welcome to pray with us, or submit a request of your own.
Piecemakers
Piecemakers is an intergenerational group of women who provide prayer and practical support for our sister Evangelical Free Churches in DRC (Congo), Africa through the ReachGlobal ministry of the EFCA. Women of all ages can gather for friendship, encouragement, and a unique "hands on" experience making sewing kits, girls' hygiene kits, layettes for newborns, and hospital supplies that go to widows, orphans, and children.
